Using a Varitronics ® / Fujifilm direct thermal poster printer is fast,
simple and inexpensive!
To use a poster printer, simply
insert a document from the right side of the scanning unit
on the top of the machine face down. Push the Blue or Green start button, and in as little as 60 seconds, an enlarged poster
version is created. There is no need
to operate it from a
computer. These machines are designed to operate as stand alone
units or direct from a computer. (From a computer, you will need
proprietary software and a computer board all at an extra
charge.) 
The output
of the poster printer is limited only by width of
the original, not its length. So you can easily create
banners just as fast. Just butt two or more 8 1/2 x 11 end
to end.
The Varitronics ® / Fujifilm poster printers are extremely economical
to operate. Neither toner nor ink is ever needed. All you
ever need to buy is paper. Being a direct thermal printer, the
machine's print heads heat up and cool down. The direct thermal
paper rolls are chemically coated and heat sensitive. As the print
heads heat up, the chemical reaction cause the image to appear.
Although the technology is archaic ( it is only a one color system), it
is perfect for schools, attorneys with jury
presentations, training, announcements and
more. Our Black Image on White poster paper rolls start at
just $63.95 per 100' roll. That's just .64 cents per linear foot
or, a 10 foot banner would cost only $6.40. Try that at Kinko's!
Typical output size
of a poster is 23"
wide x 31" in length. However, those sizes can easily
be
reduced or enlarged through the machine's manual size selector
located on the top of the scanning unit. If you really need a
